RIVOLUZIONE BIO took place in Bologna on September 5 and 6, 2019. The initiative kicked off on September 5 with four thematic sessions at the Sala Maggiore Ex Gam, Bologna. A Round Table discussion took place on September 6, marking the inauguration of SANA 2019.
“DALLA RIVOLUZIONE VERDE ALLA RIVOLUZIONE BIO: IL BIOLOGICO TRA PRESENTE E FUTURO” (FROM THE GREEN REVOLUTION TO THE ORGANIC REVOLUTION: CURRENT TRENDS AND FUTURE PROSPECTS: a new initiative promoted by BolognaFiere in conjunction with FederBio and AssoBio. RIVOLUZIONE BIO offers operators, international experts and institutions a unique opportunity to come together and exchange views, and more importantly, to discuss current market prospects and future challenges.
RIVOLUZIONE BIO picked up a fruitful discussion between BolognaFiere, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Tourism, the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and other trade organisations that began at EXPO Milano 2015 and led to the adoption by the State-Regions Conference of the National Strategic Plan for organic agriculture that will conclude in 2020.
RIVOLUZIONE BIO sought to draw up proposals and recommendations for public decision-makers and continues to underscore the distinctiveness and relevance of a key sector for the Italian economy.
RIVOLUZIONE BIO thus provided the first high-level focus on the role played by the organic sector in Italian agriculture: in this day and age, the organic sector must be viewed as a key lever for addressing the massive challenges of sustainable development, the future of younger generations, and the protection of the environment. Biodiversity, water protection, animal welfare and climate change are just some of the main work streams.
