Revenues of 1.33 billion euros, sales up 19.7%, and of 100 new shelves stocked 23 are now bio: This is the data on the organic food market in the GDO for the period 1 April 2016-31 March 2017, according to the Nielsen report submitted by AssoBio in a recent May meeting.
These are important numbers, due to 75% of purchases by regular consumers: 5 million Italian families, consume organic products every week; Well over 1 million more than the previous year, providing a steady and rapid growth in this area.
It is in this way that SANA, a landmark event in Italy for consumer fans and professionals of natural products has become central to this industry’s development .
With more than 47,000 visitors registered for the last edition, SANA 2017 showcases two halls - 25 and 26 of organic food, giving space to certified producers of fresh and packaged foods and everything related to the organic production chain including packaging, machinery manufacturers and certification bodies.ALL NEWS
