EU Green Week: A week of meetings for a more sustainable Europe

Begun in Utrecht on 21 May and culminating in the Brussels conference of 22-24 May, EU Green Week is the most important event on the Union's environmental agenda and an opportunity for citizens, institutions and scientists to exchange views on the increasingly topical issue of environmental sustainability.

With numerous events in various European cities, Green Week 2018 sees the formal adoption of new European standards on waste management for an overall and substantial increase in separate collection, with the goal, set for 2035, to landfill no more than 10% of municipal waste.
