The third tree cathedral designed by Giuliano Mauri is being built on the left bank of the Adda river and should be ready by September.

The Giuliano Mauri Association, the city of Lodi and the Lombardy Region are working to complete the project left as a legacy by the artist to his fellow citizens on his death in 2009.

The cathedral will cover a surface of 1618 square metres and will be formed by 108 wood columns surrounding and guiding the growth of 108 trees.

The other two tree cathedrals, one in Borgo Valsugana, in the province of Trento, and the other in Bergamo, are both open to visitors.
