Aurelia Santoro as a Bologna University researcher into the biological mechanisms of human ageing and age-related disease with particular focus on the role of mitochondrial DNA, Aurelia Santoro has published 37 papers in international journals. She is the scientific manager of the European NU-AGR project studying the extent to which nutrition can offset the phenomenon of “inflammaging”.
