WDRINK is a brand of Sigroup International based in Lacchiarella (Milano-Italy). The company specialises in the production and sale of customised drinks in preservative-free, zero-calorie liquid concentrate: remineralised waters with various combinations of minerals by type and quantity, single minerals to be added to any drink, mineral supplements, and aromatic waters from distillates of fresh flowers and plants from Italian cultivations. The company also produces and sells post-mix equipment for the dispensing of customised waters and drinks.

Organic, vegan or vegetarian, plant-based, functional, free from or rich in: which of these product areas does your company fall into and why did you choose to invest in that segment?

WDRINK products encompass all these areas. They are highly beneficial hydrolates that preserve intact all the active and aromatic principles of a flower or medicinal plant. Authorised for food use, they are 100% made in Italy, natural, non-alcoholic, with no preservatives, additives or sugar, and zero calories. The properties of plants and flowers are still studied and appreciated today. Since ancient times, they have been regarded as a precious commodity to be used to perfume, preserve and flavour food, and also as natural curative remedies.

Through which good practices - also in the way products are delivered and the choice of distribution channels (e.g. Horeca) - can your company be said to be sustainable?

The WDRINK 1.5 litre bag-in-box format in liquid concentrate contains 75 servings for a total of almost 19 litres of drink, with an immediate reduction in environmental impact in terms of containers, transport and storage. Furthermore, despite the absence of preservatives and alcohol, the product has a shelf life of 30 months even after opening and does not need to be refrigerated. 

Has the growing consumer demand for healthy/healthy food prompted you to provide more innovative solutions?

The company has always focused on the most innovative technological solutions with the lowest environmental impact, on enhancing the different needs of consumers and on quality of life by producing products in liquid concentrate that meet the following criteria: made in Italy, naturalness, versatility, transparency, absence of contaminants, alcohol, preservatives and sugar, and zero calories.

How do your solutions contribute to improving the out-of-home customer experience?

WDRINK, in its new perfume version, is the solution to take with you at all times. Thanks to its versatility, it turns every use into an exclusive experience. In the food sphere, it can be sprayed at will directly onto hot and cold drinks or ready-to-eat foods to give them the typical aroma of the plant. In the wellness field, being a totally natural, gentle and non-aggressive product, it can be sprayed directly on the skin or on a specific area in order to benefit from the plant's natural active ingredients. It can also be used to provide immediate freshness and relief to the face.
