The 100 Healthy Days Survey, SANA Food's new project, is an analysis tool designed to provide the event's business community - food producers and distributors - with strategic data and insights into the choices of Italian and international consumers.

Introduction to the project

Through a detailed analysis of consumer preferences and motivations, the project aims to provide strategic information that can guide market decisions.

Our goal is to go beyond simple sales data to uncover the real motivations that drive purchasing choices. This approach allows us to identify the main drivers for organic, natural, functional, and intolerance, vegan, and sustainable products.

Here are the main phases of the 100 Healthy Days Survey:

  • Understanding consumer motivations: We thoroughly analyze the reasons that influence purchasing choices, offering a clear and in-depth view of consumer preferences.

  • Data collection and analysis: We monitor 4,000 consumers - 3,000 Italians and 1,000 Danes - during two distinct periods of the year (spring-summer and autumn-winter). This allows us to intercept seasonal trends and behavioral variables.

  • Cultural comparison: We analyze and compare the consumption habits of two culturally different populations, highlighting similarities and differences.

  • Knowledge sharing: To foster a continuous exchange of information within the community, the results collected by the Observatory will be previewed in the form of "pills", which can be consulted online here [DM1], and at the press conference, scheduled for September 19th.

  • Presentation of final results: The complete results of the research will be presented during SANA Food, at BolognaFiere from 23 to 25 February 2025.

  • The SANA Food Lab Academy meetings will offer further insights into the themes emerged from the research.
