Organic farming and produce will be centre stage at EXPO during the Organic Week, to be held from 3rd – 5th September at the Theatre of the Earth in the Biodiversity Park.

In the spotlight will be major issues like feeding the planet, the UN International Year of Soils, and the future of the world’s organic farming sector.

The aim: to underline the key contribution made by organically grown produce to feeding our planet and ensuring its sustainability and biodiversity.
The Organic Week is jointly presented by BolognaFiere and NürnbergMesse, respectively organizers of Bologna’s SANA and Nuremberg’s Biofach, the two most important international sector-specific tradeshows. The programme of events is curated by Ifoam – Organics International, the organization grouping the various organic farming associations. The three-day programme will look at how the organic farming model protects and promotes biodiversity, is ecologically sustainable and innovative, and the means to feed the planet in the future.

Events, meetings and free-flow exchange all aim to create a common platform that will allow organic farming to take its rightful place as central to providing a well-balanced, sustainable response to the enormous challenge of feeding the planet in the future.
