Biodynamic agriculture gets stronger with a new social responsibility project. The Demeter Biodynamic Social Network, promoted by Demeter Italia - partner of SANA Food 2025 - brings together certified companies that combine sustainability and social responsibility, developing initiatives for inclusion and support of local communities.

The idea originates from Sara Colonna of the La Monda Cooperative and Gianluca Bergianti of Terrevive, who are already engaged in social agriculture paths capable of transforming the ancient agricultural practice into opportunities for disadvantaged people.

‘Biodynamic agriculture not only produces quality,’ explains Sara Colonna, ’but offers educational and social spaces to bring out hidden talents and strengthen the self-esteem of those in difficulty.

The project aims to create a collaborative network between companies, guiding them towards a more inclusive management. According to Enrico Amico, President of Demeter Italy, the initiative ‘shows how business can be combined with social work, creating value for people and territories’.

The new Demeter Biodynamic Social Network presents itself as an innovative model that, by highlighting the key role of biodynamic agriculture in promoting cohesion and dignity for every individual, aims to inspire other sectors as well.

Demeter Italia confirms its presence at SANA Food, the International Exhibition of Organic and Natural Products, scheduled from 23 to 25 February at the Bologna Exhibition Centre. For Demeter Italia, which has always been at the forefront in the protection of biodynamic agriculture, the appointment at BolognaFiere is an important opportunity to present its authentic products, free of additives and artificial ingredients. SANA Food will be dedicated, in particular, to the consolidation and growth of the sector, with a focus on products that enhance the wellbeing of people and the environment. In this respect, the event is the ideal partner to strengthen Demeter Italia's commitment to spreading a healthy and sustainable food culture, in line with the new demands of the market.
