A concrete opportunity for collaboration between the two countries and an occasion to present Made in Italy as a model of excellence, with the involvement of SANA Food and Slow Wine Fair.

The Vietnam-Italy Partnership and Collaboration Conference, an event promoted by the Vietnam Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnam Embassy in Italy, in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Italy-Vietnam Foundation, is scheduled for Thursday 17 October 2024, starting at 2pm.

S.E. Duong Hai Hung, Vietnam's Ambassador to Italy, and Alessio Mammi, Councillor for Agriculture, Hunting and Fisheries of the Emilia-Romagna Region, will be present at the opening.

Representatives of the Vietnamese provinces Kon Tum, Nghe An and Ha Nam will also attend the meeting, with the aim of highlighting concrete opportunities for partnership and cooperation with Italy in various sectors, from agribusiness to industry, from food & beverage to renewable energy.

Event focus

With more than 100 million citizens, an expanding middle class and a dynamic market, Vietnam has established itself as one of the most promising economies in Asia, representing an interesting development ground for businesses and investors arriving from abroad, particularly for Italy, which considers Vietnam among the 20 priority countries for trade and investment promotion.

As part of the conference, Claudia Castello, Exhibition Manager of SANA Food, and Alice Giuliani, Exhibition Manager of Slow Wine Fair and the FIVI Independent Winegrowers' Wine Market, will present their respective events, aiming to strengthen the dialogue between Italian and Vietnamese companies in high-potential areas, such as the food and wine sectors.

The initiative will thus provide an opportunity to present Made in Italy as a reference model for the Vietnamese market and the presence of BolognaFiere, with SANA Food and Slow Wine Fair, will contribute to enriching the comparison, favouring the opening of commercial collaboration channels between the two countries.

The integration of the agri-food sector with the Italian wine-growing tradition highlights the strategic importance of the food&beverage sector in international cooperation, with a focus on sustainability issues.
